U.S. Plains HRW Wheat-Bids even; yields vary as harvest continues

CHICAGO, June 21 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for hard red winter wheat were steady at rail and truck market terminals across the southern U.S. Plains on Tuesday as harvest marches north, grain dealers said.
Harvest was 60% to 80% complete in north central Oklahoma, one grain dealer there said.
Yields were strong in northeastern Oklahoma and Southeastern Kansas, another buyer noted, but degraded further west as dryness sapped crops.
Premiums for hard red winter wheat shipped by rail to or through Kansas City rose by 4 cents a bushel for wheat with ordinary protein content, according to CME Group data. Premiums were unchanged for all other grades of wheat. (KCBT/SCA)
